To qualify, customers must participate in one of the following:
- Medicaid
- Food Stamps
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance or Section 8
- Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
- National School Lunch Program’s Free Lunch Program (NSLP)
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Household Income at or below 135% of the federal poverty guidelines
- Bureau of Indian Affairs Programs (Tribal TANF, Head Start, NSLP)

Link Up reduces the cost of initiating new telephone service. Eligible customers can receive a 50% discount off of the one-time cost associated with initiating telephone service.
Toll Limitation Service allows the blocking of long distance calling to avoid incurring long distance fees. Eligible customers can choose Toll Limitation Service at no cost. Alabama LifeLine 300 and Toll Limitation Service must be activated at the same time.

Wireless Acceptable Use Policy
Qualifying consumers must (1) meet the eligibility criteria for participation in the LifeLine and Link Up program, (2) discontinue LifeLine service with any other provider, and (3) immediately notify SouthernLINC Wireless if they cease to meet the eligibility criteria. One Alabama LifeLine 300 service plan per address, and consumer must be a resident of the state in which the consumer is applying for the LifeLine service. Service may be terminated at any time if eligibility criteria are not met. Two-year service agreement required. $17.50 activation fee may apply. Anytime Cellular Minutes include calls that originate within the SouthernLINC Wireless Regional Calling Area. Nationwide Long Distance applies to calls which are initiated inside of the SouthernLINC Wireless Regional Calling Area and terminated in the United Sates or Canada. Roaming outside the SouthernLINC Wireless Regional Calling Area, data plans, access to downloads, other features and services are not available with this plan.
